There are two different segment patterns available:

a) Mosaic segments
    Segmentation areas are very small with segment fuses at the edges or sides
    of the mosaics.

 b) T-Segments
      Large segments with one or two segment fuses in free margin area of film
      (see below drawing)

In the case of failure the current in the fuse area increases and metallisation
evaporates. The segment with the failure is disconnected from the rest of the
capacitor.
